Reasons to order glulam instead of sawn timber:
- Guaranteed strength
- Certification.
- Possible to order desired length.
- Bigger cross-sections.
- Smaller shrinkage or expansion due to humidity compared to sawn timber.
- Does not significantly bend or change shape because of humidity.
- Main Glulam strength classes we are offering are GL24, GL28, GL30c.
GL24 and GL28 class glulam is possible to get homogeneous (GL24h, GL28h) or combined (GL24h, GL28h). GL30 is only possible to order combined (GL30h).
Surface quality classes: Visual and Industrial.
When glulam is used in constructions that are covered entirely, then Industrial quality is suitable.
If any part of glulam is seen after the installation, then Visual surfice quality beams are needed.
Standard Glulam beams cross-section dimensions start with 45mm in width and 120mm in height.
